No of Temples: 1 + Chaityalayas, Pahaad / mountain: One beautiful Pahaad . About 250 steps not accessible by Vehicles. Historical importance: It comes under Gowalpada (Gwalpaa) district which about 140 km away from Guwahati. Many Jain idols carved here are worshipped in the from of different Devi- Devatas. In 1975 A.D., in one of the caves on Surya Pahaad stone carve idols of Lord Adinatha and Lord Padmaprabhu were found. The carved idols are in standing posture. Again in 1994 A.D. archaeologists had predicted it’s ancientness up to 8th century. They also predicted that in ancient times this place important influential kshetra of Hindu, Buddhists and Jains. A committee has been formed by Bharatvarshiy Digambar Jain Mahasabha for development of Surya Pahaad Government of Assam has allotted acres of land to Mahasabha for future development. Annual Fair: Every year on the auspicious day of Nirwaan Kalyanak of Lord Adinatha (Since 1994 every year on day of Magha krushng chaturdashi)
